Programs

Our programs support Selective, HSC and IB students from Year 3 to Year 12. We work with a small number of families at a time so that tutors can stay close to each student.

Family feedback

Before ABB formally opened its first cohort, our tutors worked privately with a small group of families. Here is some of the feedback they received.

“Our son went from barely passing internal assessments to placing near the top of his class by trials. The lessons were structured and clear and we always knew what he needed to work on next.”
Year 12 parent, HSC Mathematics and Physics
“The tutor understood the IB expectations better than anyone we had spoken to. She learned how to plan her essays and papers properly instead of cramming at the end.”
Year 11 parent, IB Biology and English
“Our daughter felt seen. The tutor did not just set harder problems, he showed her how strong students think through questions. That confidence is what changed her results.”
Year 6 parent, Selective and scholarship preparation

How lessons work

Each program follows a simple process so that students know what to expect and parents can see progress over the term.

Start the process
1
Consultation and placement

We speak with parents about goals, current school results and exam timelines. Students are matched with a tutor who suits their pathway and temperament.

2
Diagnostic and plan

The first lesson includes a short diagnostic task. The tutor then builds a simple term plan that balances content, exam skills and past papers.

3
Weekly lessons and homework

Students attend regular lessons and complete targeted homework. Work is marked with specific feedback on method, not just final answers.

4
Review and adjust

After school assessments and exam blocks, the tutor reviews results with the family. The plan is updated to keep students on track for their next deadline.
